I'm a Computer Science student at Swansea University with 2+ years of professional IT experience. I specialize in full-stack development, cloud-native architecture on AWS, and integrating end-to-end cybersecurity.
Hello! I'm Anas, a third-year Computer Science student at Swansea University, on track for a First-Class Honours degree.
With over two years of professional experience in IT support and data analysis from my time in Qatar, I'm passionate about bridging the gap between complex technical theory and real-world business needs.
My goal is to be a software developer who builds systems that are not just functional, but also secure and scalable. This is why I focus on three key areas:
I love understanding how complex systems work, whether it's a cloud-native application, a secure network, or a complex game engine.
Built and deployed an event-driven, serverless application on AWS to automatically resize images using S3 triggers to invoke a Python Lambda function. Secured the application using IAM roles with least-privilege permissions and successfully debugged a library incompatibility error by rebuilding a Lambda Layer for the correct architecture, diagnosed via CloudWatch logs.
Project Coordinator for an Agile team of 8 recreating the 1984 classic. We successfully delivered the project 2 weeks ahead of schedule. I personally implemented core map logic, interactive objects, and collision handling using Object-Oriented principles.
Designed, developed, and deployed a fully responsive, brand-aligned website for a family-owned optical business in Qatar. I independently managed the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to final deployment, ensuring a professional digital presence.
I am always building. Here are the projects currently on my workbench.
A web app visualizing global visa requirements on an interactive world map. Features an integrated AI assistant (Llama 3) that users can query for specific travel and visa procedures.
An Android habit tracker for health and eco-friendly activities. Features automated step counting, weather-based exercise advice, and daily healthy recipes using external APIs.
A "problem cafe" social web app where users share DIY solutions to common household issues. Users can interact by liking, saving, and commenting on community solutions.
I am actively expanding my skillset. These are the technologies I am currently diving deep into:
I am currently looking for new roles in software development and cybersecurity. Whether you have a question or just want to say hi, my inbox is always open!
